Alan Esparza

Born in San Francisco, Ca. and raised in Torreon, Coah. (Mexico) He received Jesus as Lord and Savior at the age of 13 years old when residing in Mexico. The Lord called him to join the Junior High Ministry in the same year. A few months later he was asked to lead worship for their weekly Youth Service, no experience whatsoever; “The Journey” had just begun. At the age of 15 he was called to lead worship for the main Sunday Worship Services until he turned 18.

In October, 2004 he moved back to San Francisco on his own. Later that year he relocates to the Silicon Valley where he becomes one of the worship leaders at a local church. Lead worship in Spanish and English for a little over 7 years. He helped to build several worship teams as he was part of the Young Adults Leadership.

In the summer of 2011, he goes into a season of what he calls “Wondering in the desert”. He finds himself in a season of transition. During this time he joins another local church in the heart of San Jose, Ca. where he becomes one of the main worship leaders. A year later God brings him into “Staff” where he served under Worship & Production Department.

In July 2013, he moves to Honolulu, Hi. to be part of a Spanish Ministry & Worship Leader-Internship at a local church. 9 months later he enters into a second season of transition of what he calls “Living a desert in paradise”.

Finally in April 2014, he’s brought to Mountain View Community Church by some friends. He affirms that he came broken when first attended MVCC. God used MVCC-Pathway to bring healing and restoration to his life. In September 25th, 2022 he steps into “Staff” as Worship Overseer / Worship Pastor. He believes that worship is not a fast-slow song. It is an act of obedience and devotion to the Lord.
